Upholstered Wingback Beds
Our custom upholstered wingback beds are handcrafted, precision-built, and tailored to your exact dimensions, proportions, and design vision. Each bed is fabricated across our Fort Lee upholstery workshop and West Nyack CNC facility, engineered for long-term comfort, stability, and daily use.5
Handcrafted Upholstered Wingback Beds, Built to Order
We design and build upholstered wingback beds in any height, width, or silhouette—from soft, rounded wings to tall sculpted profiles with dramatic presence. Every frame is artisan-crafted, padded, and upholstered with precision to match your mattress size, ceiling height, and room architecture.
Construction, Comfort, and Materials
Every upholstered wingback bed is built on a hardwood or engineered substrate, reinforced with internal bracing and high-density padding. We offer performance fabrics, velvets, linens, leathers, and COM specified by designers and homeowners. Optional detailing includes contrast stitching, banding, borders, and integrated millwork alignment.
Slat Systems and Support
Our wingback beds can be built with fixed slats, removable slats, or reinforced systems designed for heavier mattresses. We also offer 8-way hand-tied bases for clients who prefer traditional luxury support.
Custom Upholstered Wingback Bed FAQs
Will the wings interfere with my nightstands?
This is a critical detail we engineer around during the design phase. We calculate the exact width of the bed frame to either perfectly frame your nightstands within the wings, or we build the wings with a specific depth and angle so they sit elegantly behind your existing furniture without blocking access to drawers or outlets.
How deep can the wings be?
Because every frame is cut on our West Nyack CNC machinery, we can fabricate the wings to your exact specifications. Whether you prefer a subtle 4-inch angled wing for a modern transitional look, or a deep, dramatic 14-inch curved wing for a classic, enclosing feel, we scale the proportions flawlessly to your room.
Can I add tufting or nailhead trim to the wings?
Absolutely. Detailing is our specialty. We can carry deep diamond or biscuit tufting from the main headboard panel directly onto the interior faces of the wings. We also frequently finish the outer edges of the wings with decorative nailhead trim or a contrasting double-welt cord for a crisp, tailored border.
Installation and Service Area
Our in-house installation team ensures clean alignment, stability, and a seamless fit. For tight stairways and elevators, we design modular or split-frame systems that assemble perfectly on site. We regularly serve Fort Lee, Bergen County, New York City, Brooklyn, Long Island, Westchester, Rockland, and Fairfield County.
