How Cushion Pricing Is Calculated

We use a simple, transparent formula based on the volume of your cushion:

Price = (Length × Width × Thickness) × Foam Grade Rate

  • Essential Comfort Foam: $2.25 per cubic inch
  • Enhanced Support Foam: $2.75 per cubic inch
  • High‑Density Performance Foam: $3.25 per cubic inch
  • MasterCraft HR Signature Foam: $3.75 per cubic inch

*This formula applies to standard seat cushions. Specialty shapes, crowns, and down/feather blends may adjust final pricing.

Minimum Charge

Minimum Cushion Replacement Charge: $75.00 per cushion

Foam Density Comparison

Why Our Foam Lasts 3–5× Longer Than Retail Foam

Most online foam sellers (Amazon, craft stores, DIY suppliers) use 1.2–1.8 lb density foam.
It feels firm at first — but breaks down quickly, often within 1–2 years.

At First Class MasterCraft, we use true high‑density upholstery foam:

  • 2.5–2.8 lb/ft³ density (HD36‑HQ grade)
  • 35–45 ILD for proper seat support
  • 7–12 year lifespan with daily use
  • The same grade used in
  • Baker, McGuire, and high‑end designer furniture

Density = durability. Higher density means more raw material per cubic foot — which means better support,
better comfort, and dramatically longer life.

This is why our cushions don’t sag.
